My name is Erlend and I'm a 27 year old Norwegian. I used to be a typical guitar player who spent all my time looking for tabs and depended on others to make arrangements for me. I know Tomi from his personal site where he used to teach songs in step-by-step videos, and I've spent a lot of hours trying to copy his arrangements. I never had very good patience, and therefore I only learned half songs before gave up and tried another. However, one day I got an email from Tomi where he told me about the course. It seemed to good to be true, however I thought it would be a good excuse to have get some regular practice. I never would have believed that I could play by ear, but now I can. It takes a lot of practice, but after the 15 weeks you are well on your way. I'm very happy to have done the course, and now I make my own arrangements.

Hi Guys, I am 46 years old and have been playing guitar for a few years now. I had been doing private lessons, had learned a bit of theory, scales and the fret board but was still struggling with how to play what By ear. Then I found Tomis cause. The course goes for 15 weeks and you get 2 lessons stacked together (90 minutes) of tuition via webcam/ chat room twice a week. The room has other students of all levels (from beginner to advanced), learning at the same time and the interaction is fantastic. I live in Australia and the lessons war on at 1:30 in the morning I only missed 2 due to work commitments/ illness it was that much fun. Tomi is an excellent teacher, he is amazingly patient but also encouraging enough to push you out of your comfort zone when he thinks he needs to and the amount of information he hands over for the price is amazing. The course is aimed at all levels of players and is both challenging and rewarding so If you want to learn some serious theory, get more confident playing live, meet some new friends from all over the globe, PLAY BY EAR, in fact become a better player overall, I highly recommend this course to you. Rob.
Mikko on 15/11/2012
Hi. I am Mikko from the City of Oulu in Finland. I have been playing guitar for seven years. Occasionally I had come to the point where I could not get any good from the traditional approaches. When Tomi offered his new guitar course, I was ready to go. The course was a hit. I was suprised how pleasantly Tomi taught the music theory, all grounded to guitar fretboard, guitar playing, and sample songs. Can theory be so practical and fun, almost no theory? I learned music applied to fretboard, fretboad logic and various navigation skills, CAGED system. I learned intervals on the fretboard, chord triads, scales, how to form chords in any scale anywhere in fretboard. Tomi's approach is musical rather than mechanical, so you will easily understand and remember everything you have learned. I learned how to find out the key of a song by listening, how to find out the chords of the song, melody, and how to study the song structure. Excellent guitar course!

Hey guys. I'm now 29 years old and started playing guitar just last year. Till i found Tomis course-i tryed to learn by my own, but my problem was what should i learn first? I saw Tomis music on youtube and i thought wow...he's good. Then i found his page with the course. At first i had a bit skepticism, but after the first sessions the skepticism was blowing away. We all have the same goal. We want to be a good or even better guitarplayer. Tomi showed us they way...the path we have to go. I learned many theoretical stuff to understand music-structure,composing etc. You wont find a music teacher for this price who give you so much informations. I definitely recommend that course.

My name is Derek. I am from Singapore and I am a graduate student. I joined Tomi’s course because I thought it would be fun and I wanted to gain the ability to play any music I hear. Having just completed the course, I am very pleased. The course was fun, productive and rewarding. In the short period of 15 weeks, we learned a skill set which allows us to teach ourselves any song simply by listening. In other words, we have learned how to learn any song we might like to play, without having to rely on sheet music or tabs. We also learned the structure and patterns behind songs, which makes playing so much easier and more enjoyable because rather than directly using sheer memory to remember how songs are played, we now simply remember the patterns and the rest comes quite naturally. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys playing guitar and who wants to learn the tricks to play anything simply by listening. It is great value for money and time because I believe I learned more from the course than I did from a year of traditional lessons, where the emphasis was on playing songs with no ear training. A year of such conventional training did very little in terms of allowing me to play say a good song I heard on the radio. The fact that the lessons were live meant that we were able to ask Tomi anything we wanted at any time during the lessons in order to quickly and effectively clarify our doubts. Lastly, the live sessions were very relaxed and informal, so we were able to have plenty of fun in addition to learning the skills and acquiring the knowledge. I would say that this course is a rare opportunity to learn some really valuable skills from a good teacher at an affordable price, and from the comfort of your own home!

Let me start by saying I never write reviews, However this course was so epic that I had too. I have been playing guitar for few years, I am quite dedicated so have come a relatively long way, can read notation and tab etc. However if I had this knowledge when I first started out I would be way better than what I am now. This course is an amazing foundation for EAR PLAYING, literally you would be stupid not to buy it! Tomi is right when he says this is the way the professionals do it. The course is very friendly and if you are lucky you will make a few good friends. The webcam Tomi uses is slightly fuzzy, Which you may think is bad for live sessions. IT actually isn't, If you cant see what he is doing what do you have to do? USE YOUR EARS. Which is what the course is all about. Although you don't need to go to the live sessions I would recommend you do as that is where in my opinion most of the learning is achieved, through questioning things. So let me repeat, the price is brilliant, The material you learn would take you years to find yourself, And you are getting a university education for way less cost. And you will get this education in a matter of months compared to years. It is the ultimate fast track in playing the guitar. Iv'e done it and i would do it again, So take the course, Best of Luck and have FUN!

This is a fully recommended learning program. You get to learn everything from the notes on the neck to making fantastic song arrangements. I had a great time doing this because it was really fun and learning, I also gained new life long friends. It's also a great price, because all this info would take you years to learn without the great people at AllEars, and of course Tomi Paldanius. If you really want to become a great guitarist, this is a very good way to become it! This is lifelong learning.
